All In

A few months ago after deciding to study mediumship and registering for a class, I prepped by attempting to connect with my loved ones on the other side during my morning meditations. I ended up seeing a grandparent or an aunt or uncle super clearly in my mind’s eye, in a way I hadn’t seen them in years, and I was thrilled.

A week or so after this exercise, I checked my closet for a green blanket I offer my Reiki clients during a session. I saw it in a box on the floor of my closet and left it there while I got ready for the day. I went back to my closet before leaving for my session, but the blanket wasn’t there. No one else was in my apartment, but I had the feeling that someone was playing with me—and I knew it was my family on the other side. The energy around this was in no way creepy—it felt fun and jokester-y, and I got a kick out of it. Then I grabbed a different blanket for my session.

The next day, my boyfriend’s deodorant disappeared. Yeah, his deodorant. When he told me he couldn’t believe it vanished, I didn’t say much. I knew it was likely another prank from my relatives, but wasn’t sure I wanted to share that.

Two weeks went by, (a replacement deodorant purchased) and out of the blue my boyfriend brought up the disappearance again and how it made absolutely no sense. This time I took a deep breath and said, “Ok, so I think it’s my family on the other side messing with us because it happened after I started connecting with them.” He wasn’t too freaked out, which is why we’re the perfect match.

The next day, I opened my closet door and saw my blanket in the box on the floor. The day after that, the original deodorant reappeared in its drawer.

All my life I’ve loved watching mediums do their work—it’s so healing to find evidence of the afterlife, to learn that our loved ones who we miss so much are ok. But even after I started connecting to animals on the other side, I still saw human mediumship as daunting and something that was next-level mind-blowing.

But when I started attempting to connect to my loved ones on the other side, they connected right back. And when I acknowledged out loud that I was connecting with them, they rewarded me by returning my stuff. (Later at the Omega mediumship class, they made something disappear again, only to return it when I listened to them tell me where to look.)

You don’t have to talk to dead people to get stuff back. If you’ve always wanted to play the piano, or travel to Scotland, or run a marathon, but doubt your talent/budget/ability, just taking one step toward that passion will send gifts your way. Why? Because we’re becoming more of who we truly are when we step into our desires, and that always gets rewarded.

Since the incident of the disappearing blanket, our foster cat Faro has commandeered it. His message? You got that lesson—this blanket’s not going anywhere. Time to put that paw forward and see what opens up next.

It’s all about the magic. 🙌
